The Media and Democracy Coalition contracted local organizers through M + R Strategic Services in the state of Arkansas to run a smaller-scale campaign.
The on-the-ground organizer met with Little Rock mayoral candidate, Mark Stodola, to discuss net neutrality. Our Arkansas organizer also led outreach efforts to several university professors in journalism departments across Arkansas.
After releasing the MDC research report about local media markets in Arkansas, our work was highlighted in a series of interviews on local radio stations. Jeannine Kenney, of Consumers Union, and Dr. Mark Cooper, Director of Research for Consumer Federation of America, answered questions on an hour-long radio interview on the Pat Lynch show, a very popular program that is broadcast widely across the state of Arkansas. In addition, Dr. Mark Cooper was interviewed on KABF, an African American-owned and operated radio station in Little Rock.
